The Polish branch of Microsoft officially announced that as of 15 May 2019 it has a new director responsible for marketing and strategy. Aniela Hejnowska also became a Member of the Management Board.

Aniela Hejnowska joined Microsoft in Poland as a Marketing and Business Strategy Director and the Member of the Management Board. As a leader with many years of experience, she will support the development of the company on the local market. In particular, she will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s strategic business objectives in Poland and marketing activities.

Over 15 years of managerial experience in the ICT sector

Aniela Hejnowska has over 15 years of experience in managing organizations in the telecommunications sector and new technologies. For the past 3 years she has served as an International VP in Groupon, managing a team of 450 people in 4 markets: France, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates. Previously, she worked for over 4 years in the telecommunications operator Netia as Managing Director in the SOHO/SME segment. She was responsible not only for business development activities, but also for a number of initiatives related to workplace diversity and the position of women in business. Aniela Hejnowska is also an entrepreneur and for this activity she was awarded the title of Businesswoman of the Year 2010 by the Success Written by Lipstick Foundation.

Aniela Hejnowska is a graduate of WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz and Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Grenoble. During her professional career she worked and lived in an international environment, including New York and Paris. Her non-professional passions include travel and sport.

Microsoft is the leader of the software market in Poland

Microsoft is the leader of the software market in Poland. According to PMR’s estimates, the company’s market share by revenue is approx. 17%. The company is known primarily for its Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software. In addition, Microsoft offers a comprehensive software package dedicated to companies, which consists of ERP systems (Dynamics 365 for Operations for large enterprises, Microsoft Dynamics NAV – for companies from the SME sector), customer relationship management systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRM) and BI class systems (Microsoft BI, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server).

Microsoft achieves the vast majority of its revenues in the software segment on the Polish market from sales of operating systems and Office software. Revenues from sales of strictly business systems of CRM and ERP class constitute about 10% of the total revenues from sales of software in Poland. The company is also a provider of IT services.
