Huawei to invest $10m in application store in Poland

Huawei will invest 10 million dollars in the development of the brand ecosystem in Poland. Such a declaration was made by Jefferson Zhang, managing director of Huawei CBG Polska. AppGallery is an original app store that Huawei wants to promote in Poland.

The declaration of spending in Poland at the level of USD 10 million was made during the first Huawei Developer Day conference in Poland, which took place on 15 October in Warsaw. During the event, Huawei presented details of its ecosystem based on Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).

HMS is Huawei’s proprietary solution, which is the basis for the Huawei ecosystem, consisting of services such as Mobile Cloud, Motifs, Browser and AppGallery. The ecosystem is based on the technological layer – HMS, consisting of such solutions as ID Huawei Authentication, Huawei Push, Huawei IAP, Huawei Adds.

“Poland is one of the ten most important markets for Huawei in the world. That is why we are planning a significant investment in the development of our ecosystem here on the Polish market. In the first phase of the investment, we will spend $10 million on a partnership programme encouraging developers and application owners to be present in the ecosystem, with an emphasis on the Huawei AppGallery app store,” said Jefferson Zhang, managing director of Huawei CBG Polska.

The participants of the event, which took place at the Koneser Prague Centre in Warsaw, had an opportunity to learn more about the functioning of the Huawei ecosystem and the possibilities of business cooperation within the AppGallery. They could also listen to the representatives of the brands already present in AppGallery and learn about the benefits of cooperation with Huawei.

“Our ecosystem is in the process of expansion. This is the best moment to join us, to enter into an affiliate program as soon as we invest in it with particular strength. The first successfully implemented integration of Yanosik application with HMS Core is behind us. Already now, our ecosystem gives our partners the opportunity to significantly increase their reach. Later this year we will introduce three new services that will make the cooperation with Huawei even more opportunities to promote Polish content, not only in Poland, but also globally,” said Justyna Jaworska, Huawei Mobile Services Operation Manager, inviting participants to cooperate.

Representatives of such companies as Unity Technologies, Diet & Training by Ann, Yanosik, Ceneo.pl, Audioteka, Wirtualna Polska and blinkee.city shared their experiences from cooperation with Huawei.
