The Supervisory Board of Sygnity appointed on 26 September as President of the Management Board Bogdan Zborowski. The new President will hold office as of 2 January 2020.
In the years 2013-2016, Bogdan Zborowski was Vice-President for Sales. From 2014 to 2016, he also served as President of the Management Board of Sygnity International. Since 2016, he has been associated with itelligence (the Polish branch of the itelligence A.G. Group) as President of the Management Board and CEO.
Earlier, in the years 1998-2002 and 2006-2013, he was associated with IBM, moving up in the corporate structures. From 2011 to 2013, he was responsible for the largest clients from the following sectors: banking, insurance, public administration and telecommunications. In 2002-2006, in Computerland (currently Sygnity), he was responsible for sales and cooperation with key customers from the banking sector. In 1996 he joined Bull Polska. He was responsible for sales of ERP systems.
Bogdan Zborowski is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Production Engineering. He also graduated from London Business School.
Previous CEO arrested for corruption
At the end of June, Mariusz Nowak resigned from the position of President of Sygnity after receiving prosecution charges. On 11 June, the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau detained eleven people in connection with irregularities in tenders for the Polish Post. As stated in the CBA’s announcement, among the detainees there are five employees of the Post Office and two persons connected with the operation of the “Warsaw IT company”. The proceeding concerns the execution of public procurement for Poczta Polska worth over PLN 30 million in exchange for financial benefits received by Poczta’s representatives in the amount of at least PLN 300 thousand.
On 13 June, Sygnity informed about the court’s decision – in connection with the investigation – to establish a preventive measure in the form of a property surety against President Mariusz Nowak, and a temporary arrest for a period of three months against the chairman of the supervisory board, Paweł Zdunek.
